Academician Tang Yong of the Chinese Chemical Society and his delegation conducted a research visit to Jingbo Holdings Group to jointly explore new directions for the development of the polyolefin industry


  To comprehensively grasp the development trends of the polyolefin industry, deeply understand enterprise development issues, and guide the development direction of China's polyolefin industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, on March 28, Tang Yong, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Chemical Society and Academician, Professor Li Zhibo, Deputy Secretary-General, and a delegation of eight visited Jingbo Holding Group. Using Jingbo's polyolefin industry as a research sample, they conducted in-depth research and exchange activities centered on the compilation project of the China Polyolefin Industry Development Report. Leaders including Ma Yunsheng, Chairman of the Board of Jingbo Holding Group, Executive Director Zou Xiwen, Rotating President Zou Xiong, General Manager Zang Yuntao and Technical General Manager Yuan Wenbo of Jingbo Polyolefin Company, Deputy General Manager Liu Zhenxue of Jingbo Research Institute, Director Yu Bo of the Industry-Finance Research Center, and Director Liu Qingchun of the Polymer Chemistry Research Center attended the related reception and exchange work.

  Ma Yunsheng, Chairman of the Board of Jingbo Holding Group, warmly met with Academician Tang Yong and his delegation, expressing a warm welcome to their arrival. During the meeting and exchange, Ma Yunsheng vividly introduced Jingbo Holding Group's development philosophy aimed at "dual carbon" goals and the company culture centered on "benevolence and filial piety." On behalf of the group, he presented cultural and creative gifts to Academician Tang Yong and his delegation. Tang Yong expressed gratitude for Jingbo's enthusiastic and professional reception and fully affirmed and praised Chairman Ma Yunsheng's entrepreneurial spirit and sense of social responsibility. Both parties reached a high consensus on future collaborative innovation among industry, academia, and research.

  Accompanied by leaders of Jingbo Holding Group, the research team successively visited the group's enterprise pavilion, museum, and polyolefin-related pilot and production facilities. At the production site of Jingbo Polyolefin Company, Academician Tang Yong thoroughly understood Jingbo's polyolefin catalyst technology, high-performance material production processes, and green process applications, highly praising Jingbo's full industry chain layout and industrialization achievements in the high-end polyolefin field.

  At the subsequent high-end polyolefin industry technology exchange meeting on sustainable development, representatives from Jingbo Polyolefin Company, Jingbo Research Institute, and other Jingbo-related polyolefin industry companies shared reports on the current status of their product industry development and key challenges faced. Tang Yong stated at the meeting: The polyolefin industry has hundreds to thousands of product grades; to deeply cultivate the industry and create differentiated products requires great courage and determination. Jingbo's "market-oriented, technology-centered" integrated industry-academia-research model provides a replicable innovation example for the industry. Its forward-looking layout and industrialization capabilities in the polyolefin field are inspiring. The Chinese Chemical Society will fully leverage the association's resource channels to help enterprises overcome industry technology and market challenges and jointly build an internationally competitive innovation ecosystem.

  Additionally, research team members Researcher Tao Wenjie and Associate Professor Pan Yu respectively shared reports on their current research projects and achievements. Attending experts and leaders enthusiastically discussed the scientific achievements of the two experts. Li Zhibo emphasized that the implementation of university research results must be realized on the basis of complementary advantages with enterprise resources. In this process, besides co-creation of technology between universities and enterprises, attention should also be paid to talent cultivation, platform co-construction, and multiple measures to truly achieve technology-driven social progress and economic development.

  Zou Xiong summarized at the meeting: "This exchange marks a new stage in the cooperation between Jingbo and the Chinese Chemical Society. We will be guided by the 'dual carbon' goals, relying on the complementary advantages of both parties' resources, deepening cooperation in the high-value application of polyolefin materials, the formulation of green process standards, global talent introduction and cultivation, and other fields, promoting the Chinese polyolefin industry to climb to the high end of the value chain."

  As a domestic deep cultivator in the high-end polyolefin field, Jingbo has now established a full industry chain system from catalyst research and development to end-material production and application. By the end of 2024, it has been approved to establish the Shandong Key Laboratory of High-Performance Polyolefin Materials and Recycling. Jingbo's independently developed products such as transparent polypropylene, cast polypropylene, polypropylene foam special materials, and pipe materials are widely used in medical and health, food packaging, automotive lightweighting, and other fields. This research and exchange activity not only provided think tank support for the technological upgrade of Jingbo's polyolefin industry but also opened a new chapter of collaborative innovation between industry associations and enterprises. In the future, Jingbo will continue to deepen the "industry-academia-research-application" integrated development model, drive industrial transformation through technological innovation, and contribute the "Jingbo Solution" to the high-quality development of China's high-end polyolefin materials industry.
