Notice on the Release of the 2025 Open Project Application Guide


To all universities, research institutes, enterprises, and innovation teams:

  To thoroughly implement the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the New Materials Industry in Shandong Province," strengthen basic research and original technology supply in the field of high-performance polyolefin materials and recycling, the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of High-Performance Polyolefin Materials and Recycling (hereinafter referred to as the "Laboratory") is now launching the 2025 open project application work. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

  1. Guideline Positioning

  Focusing on the three major directions of "green, high-performance, and sustainable," concentrating on key scientific issues and technical bottlenecks throughout the entire lifecycle of polyolefin materials, encouraging interdisciplinary integration and industry-academia-research collaboration, supporting forward-looking and disruptive exploratory research, and providing original innovation for the high-end and circular development of Shandong's polyolefin industry.

  Key Directions and Topics

  1. Development of low-shrinkage impact polypropylene

  2. Preparation of fully vinyl liquid polybutadiene materials

  3. Study on factors affecting ethylene distribution uniformity in random copolymer polypropylene

  4. Development of tiger-stripe resistant polypropylene products

  5. Development of catalysts for polyolefin block copolymers (OBC)

  6. Development of CPP film crystallization point element analysis methods

  7. Application development research of polypropylene for transparent, tough, low-temperature heat shrink films

  8. Development of low-cost catalysts for highly selective depolymerization of polyolefins

  9. Study on the correlation between microstructure and macroscopic properties of impact copolymer polypropylene

  10. Design, construction, and mechanism study of biomimetic multi-level structure ablation-resistant polypropylene

  11. Research on multi-scale interface regulation and high toughness mechanism of long fiber reinforced polypropylene

  3. Project Funding and Duration

  Each project is funded up to 200,000 yuan, with a research period of 1-2 years.

  4. Application Requirements

  1. Applicants must be domestic registered universities, research institutes, or enterprises with independent legal person status; joint applications are encouraged.

  2. The project leader must be a full-time staff member, hold an associate senior title or above, or a doctoral degree, and generally be under 45 years old.

  3. Each project leader is limited to applying for one project.

  4. The project application content must comply with the directions and objectives of the application guidelines.

  5. Application Process

  1. Offline filling: Download Attachment 2 "2025 Open Project Application Form" template, and fill in the application information truthfully according to the prompts.

  2. Unit review: The applicant's scientific research management department shall review the authenticity and compliance of the materials and affix the official seal.

  3. Email submission: After the application form is stamped with the official seal, scan and generate a PDF version, and send it by email to xiaolin.zhao@chambroad.com before September 10, 2025.

  6. Review and Approval

  The Laboratory will organize the review of submitted application materials. The review methods include but are not limited to formal examination, expert evaluation, and on-site defense, focusing on innovation, feasibility, and alignment with project objectives. Projects passing the review will be approved and announced. After the announcement period, the Laboratory will sign the project task book with the project leader.

  7. Project Management

  1. Project management must strictly follow the "Management Measures for Open Projects of the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of High-Performance Polyolefin Materials and Recycling."

  2. Project objectives must be strictly implemented according to the agreed project task book.

  3. The Laboratory will prioritize recommending outstanding results for provincial or higher-level scientific and technological awards and industrialization funds.
