High-Performance Green New Materials Industry Integration and Innovation Exchange Conference - Successful Hosting of the Energy and Flexible Electronic Materials Special Session
On August 10, 2025, the High-Performance Green New Materials Industry Innovation Exchange Conference - Energy and Flexible Electronic Materials Session was successfully held in Boxing County, Binzhou City, Shandong Province. This event was hosted by the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of High-Performance Polyolefin Materials and Recycling (hereinafter referred to as the "Provincial Key Laboratory"), organized by Yellow River Delta Jingbo Chemical Research Institute Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Qingdao University of Science and Technology, Shandong Jingbo Polyolefin New Materials Co., Ltd., Shandong Moyuan Carbon Materials Co., Ltd., Shandong Heavy Oil Processing Technology Innovation Center, and Hainan Beo Yi Technology Co., Ltd.
The High-Performance Green New Materials Industry Innovation Exchange Conference - Energy and Flexible Electronic Materials Session gathered the latest breakthroughs in advanced energy materials and flexible electronics, promoting the transformation and upgrading of the traditional petrochemical industry towards functional materials and new energy industries. The conference brought together more than 100 industry elites, with keynote speakers including 6 National Outstanding Youth Scholars, 1 National Ten Thousand Talents Plan expert, 3 Taishan Scholars, and 10 senior experts in the fields of energy and flexible electronic materials. The meeting was jointly chaired by Dr. Liu Qingchun, Executive Director of the Provincial Key Laboratory, and Dr. Meng Xia, Technical Market Director of Jingbo Holding Group.
At the beginning of the meeting, Cui Xianfeng, General Manager of Shandong Moyuan Carbon Materials Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on behalf of Jingbo Holding Group. Cui introduced that in response to the global energy transition and the "dual carbon" strategic goals, Jingbo Petrochemical established Shandong Moyuan Carbon Materials Co., Ltd. in 2022. "Moyuan" carbon materials are based on petroleum coke and calcined coke devices, adhering to the concept of "innovation-driven development, quality leading the future," aiming to become a globally leading carbon material supply solution provider. Cui hopes that through this exchange conference, in-depth communication with industry experts and scholars will be achieved to promote the company's leapfrog development in the field of carbon materials.
During the presentation session, Professor Qiu Jieshan from Beijing University of Chemical Technology took coal-based carbon materials as an example and shared the manufacturing and application processes of various functional carbon material products such as carbon nanotubes, carbon quantum dots, and high-quality graphene. Professor Zhao Qiang from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology systematically explained the development status of flexible electronic products and the research and application of related materials in this field to the conference guests. Professor Wu Mingbo from Qingdao University of Science and Technology focused on the technology and product development of petroleum-based carbon materials in the energy storage field. Professor Tang Yougen from Central South University introduced the exploration and practice of biomass raw materials in the field of hard carbon anode materials.
Professor Sun Di from Shandong University shared with the attendees the construction and evolution mechanism of hierarchical silver clusters. Researcher Wen Rui from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, reported on the research progress of in situ imaging technology for interface processes in electrochemical energy storage systems. Researcher Cao Anmin from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, shared the future development path of high specific energy battery materials. Professor Liu Kai from Qingdao University of Science and Technology focused on the adaptive application of polymer elastomers in the field of flexible electronics. Researcher Li Gongqiang from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Associate Professor Liu Shuai from Ocean University of China respectively introduced the latest research status of "hot search" technological products in new energy fields such as perovskite and all-solid-state metal batteries, jointly discussing new discoveries and opportunities for innovation and breakthroughs in energy materials.
The successful holding of the High-Performance Green New Materials Industry Innovation Exchange Conference - Energy and Flexible Electronic Materials Session realized a full collision between frontier exploration by universities and research institutes and practical technology by enterprises, promoting deep integration of industry experts' trend judgments and partners' market insights. With continuous deepening of policy support, accelerated technological iteration, and gradual release of market demand, high-performance green new materials such as energy and flexible electronic materials will play a greater role in new energy vehicles, smart wearables, high-end manufacturing, and other fields. The Provincial Key Laboratory will thoroughly implement the national "dual carbon" strategy and the specific measures of Shandong Province's "Top Ten Industries" action plan, contributing greater scientific and technological strength to the high-quality and sustainable development of the new materials industry in our province and even nationwide.
