Laboratory Introduction

The Shandong Province Key Laboratory of High-Performance Polyolefin Materials and Recycling is led by Yellow River Delta Jingbo Chemical Research Institute Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Qingdao University of Science and Technology and Shandong Jingbo Polyolefin New Materials Co., Ltd. Based on the original "Shandong Province Olefin Catalysis and Polymerization Key Laboratory," it was restructured through a strong alliance of industrial research institutes, universities, and enterprises to achieve the collaborative integration of "industry, academia, and research." It was approved for construction by the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology in December 2024. The co-building parties have a solid foundation for research cooperation, having undertaken 23 national projects and 22 provincial and ministerial projects in recent years, jointly carrying out more than 20 technical collaborations, achieving pilot testing and industrialization of multiple product technologies including polybutene alloys, polyolefin elastomer catalysts, trans-butadiene rubber, hydrogenated nitrile rubber, and high-performance polypropylene.
The laboratory has established a "three-committee" system: the Board of Directors is the highest decision-making body; the Director Committee is the administrative decision-making and coordination body; the Academic Committee serves as the academic advisory body; and the General Office is the comprehensive management function body assisting the Director Committee in handling daily work.

To comprehensively review the platform's phased achievements, align with major national needs and the forefront of global science and technology, and calibrate the platform's development direction and goals. In August 2025, the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of High-Performance Polyolefin Materials and Recycling (hereinafter referred to as the "Provincial Key Laboratory") successfully held the semi-annual work summary meeting of the Provincial Key Laboratory in Binzhou City, Shandong Province.

The 2nd Polymer Chemistry and Materials Academic Symposium Successfully Held

On May 10-11, the 2nd Polymer Chemistry and Materials Academic Symposium, hosted by Zhejiang University and co-organized by Yellow River Delta Jingbo Chemical Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Shandong Key Laboratory of High-Performance Polyolefin Materials and Recycling, was held in Hangzhou. The symposium gathered over 100 top experts and scholars in the field of polymer materials, including Academicians Peng Huisheng and Zhu Weihong. Liu Zhenxue, Executive Deputy General Manager of Jingbo Research Institute, led a team of 12 from Jingbo Research Institute, Jingbo Polyolefin, and Jingbo Zhongju Technology R&D system to attend the conference and deliver keynote reports.
