Focusing on Cutting-Edge Technology and Planning a New Chapter of Development — The First Academic Committee Meeting of Shandong Province Key Laboratory of High-Performance Polyolefin Materials and Recycling Successfully Held

　　To thoroughly implement the national "dual carbon" development strategic goals, accelerate the promotion of technological innovation and deep integration of industry-university-research in the field of new materials, and fully leverage the laboratory's leading role in the high-performance and recycling technology industry of polyolefin materials, on May 7th, the first Academic Committee meeting of the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of High-Performance Polyolefin Materials and Recycling, jointly established by Yellow River Delta Jingbo Chemical Research Institute Co., Ltd., Qingdao University of Science and Technology, and Shandong Jingbo Polyolefin New Materials Co., Ltd., was grandly held at the Tibet Hotel in Beijing. Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Xi'an Jiaotong University Zhang Liqun, Vice President of Qingdao University of Science and Technology Wu Mingbo, Professors Li Bogeng from Zhejiang University, Li Yuesheng from Tianjin University, Li Zhongming from Sichuan University, Tian Ming from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Zhang Zhicheng from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Director Wang Yimin from China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, and more than ten top experts in the field of polymer materials, as well as management personnel and academic backbones from the laboratory's co-building units, gathered together to conduct in-depth discussions on core topics such as material development direction, technology process development, and industrial demonstration, providing high-end intellectual support for the laboratory to serve the national development of polyolefin materials.

　　Leading the opening, gathering wisdom and talents. The meeting first held the appointment ceremony for the three laboratory committees (Board of Directors, Academic Committee, and Director Committee), presided over by Liu Zhenxue, Executive Deputy General Manager of Jingbo Research Institute.

　　Luan Bo, Executive Director and Chief Rotating President of Jingbo Holding Group, read the appointment documents for the members of the laboratory's Board of Directors, Academic Committee, and Director Committee on behalf of the construction unit. Academician Zhang Liqun, Vice President Wu Mingbo, and other guests presented appointment certificates to representatives of the three committees.

　　Luan Bo and Wu Mingbo respectively expressed thanks and congratulations to the appointed personnel on behalf of the laboratory construction units. Luan Bo mentioned that high-performance polyolefin materials and recycling is a highly challenging and forward-looking field, facing many technical difficulties and industry pain points. The establishment of the laboratory has provided us with a high-quality platform to gather wisdom from all parties and collaborate on innovation. We hope to have the opportunity to work hand in hand with top domestic experts, scholars, and industry elites to jointly overcome technical difficulties and promote industry development and progress. Wu Mingbo stated that Qingdao University of Science and Technology, as a co-building unit of the laboratory, feels honored and deeply responsible. The university will rely on the advantages of the polymer discipline cluster, take serving industrial needs as its mission, work closely and wholeheartedly with Jingbo Holding Group, and promote the construction of the laboratory and the upgrading of the polyolefin industry.

After the appointment ceremony, the meeting conducted reports on the laboratory's construction and development plan and project work, hosted by Vice President Wu Mingbo. Academician Zhang Liqun, Director of the Academic Committee, delivered a speech at the report meeting. Academician Zhang Liqun affirmed Jingbo's achievements in the deep integration of industry, university, and research, and on behalf of the Academic Committee, stated that the committee should leverage their respective advantages, take responsibility, jointly contribute to the laboratory's development, focus on national strategic needs and industry pain points, refine the laboratory's core research tasks, cultivate research teams with both innovation and international vision, promote deep collaboration between the laboratory, enterprises, and universities, and accelerate the industrialization of technology.

　　Professor Li Zhibo, Director of the Key Laboratory, and Dr. Liu Qingchun, Executive Director, reported on the laboratory's construction and development plan and recent project progress to the attending experts on behalf of the laboratory. The experts and leaders present fully affirmed the laboratory's phased achievements in the research and development of high-performance polyolefin materials and recycling, and provided constructive suggestions on existing problems and challenges in current research, clarified the key tasks for the next stage of laboratory construction, and pointed out the direction for the laboratory's sustainable development.

　　The successful convening of the first Academic Committee meeting of the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of High-Performance Polyolefin Materials and Recycling is an important measure to respond to the national new materials strategic demand and implement Shandong Province's "Top Ten Industries" plan.
